Bulk Bag Lifting Adapters

Our bulk bag lifting adapters for forklift and crane bulk bag unloading and filling adapters allow for the safe, efficient, and easy handling of Super Sack® by their lift loops.  These bulk bag lifting devices (also known as spreader bars or bag lifting rigs) allow an operator to quickly and easily connect the lift loops of the bulk bags to a use-specific adapter (forklift forks, cranes, etc.) and lift it for unloading or stacking, and can be made of mild steel (painted or galvanized) or stainless steel.

Crane Adapters make bulk bag pickup a breeze for bulk bag unloading operations. Not only fast and easy to use, the crane bag adapter pulls straight up on the bag lift loops (vs. hooking straps or stevedore style straps). This is the FIBCA’s (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container Association) approved lifting method for bulk bags. Super Sack® held this way will remain open and most often, will discharge more efficiently.

Fork Bulk Bag Adapter – BagLift 100-FA

BagLift100-FASafetyThe FA (Fork Adapter) allows a single operator or fork driver to attach a bulk bag to the lifting device. The most important advantage of this device is safety (many workers are injured holding the lift loops open for a fork truck), although a great deal of time can be saved as well. Just place the Adapter over the Super Sack® and wind the lift loops into the labyrinth hooks. The Adapter also prevents lift loop abrasion, which can be helpful when reusing bulk bags.

Fork Adapter – BagLift 500-FA

BagLift100-FA2The BagLift 500-FA (Fork Adapter) is the same unit we use in our BagFlo and EasyFlo unloaders.   It has extensions and tabs for nesting onto horizontal supports.    Some customer’s with existing frames or supports may find this tested and certified adapter to be useful.  It includes the standard 6” x 3” fork pockets, and (4) labyrinth style lift loop attachment points.  Max capacity 4,400# stenciled on the two sides, mild steel coated in enamel paint, or optional stainless steel construction.

Crane Adapter Attachment (CA)

BagLift100-CAThe Crane Adapter attachment makes bulk bag pickup a breeze for bulk bag unloading operations. Not only fast and easy to use, the adapter pulls straight up on the lift loops (vs. hooking straps or stevedore style straps). This is the FIBCA’s (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container Association) approved lifting method for bulk bags. Super Sack® held this way will remain open and most often will discharge more efficiently.

Crane Adapter Attachment (CA-LH)

BagLift100-CA-LHThe LH (Low Head) is a Crane Adapter attachment that puts the hook point lower than the lift loop holders of bulk bags.  This takes up more of the strap length to allow a bulk bag to be lifted higher or with less stack-up.

Flying Fork – BagLift 100-FF

BagLift 100-FF (Flying Fork)

BagLift 100-FF (Flying Fork)

The FF (Flying Fork) is a specialized crane adapter to lift Super Sack® with Sleeve style Lift Loops. Using chains or lifting straps is not an acceptable lifting method for sleeve style Super Sack® .

High Lift – BagLift 200-HL

BagLift-200-HL-Round-TubeThe HL (High Lift) adapter is a ‘Z’ shaped device, which allows the forks on the truck to remain low so the mast or backrest of the fork truck is no higher than the bag. These devices are typically used to load tall bulk bags without pallets into trucks, but can also be used to stack bags in low ceiling areas. Please consult our engineering dept. if you have interest in this custom device.
